A flash dryer is a highly efficient, continuous drying device primarily used to rapidly dry wet materials into powder or granular products. Its working principle relies on the intense mixing and heat-mass transfer process between high-speed hot air and wet material. Wet material enters the drying chamber through a feeding system and is quickly dispersed by a high-speed rotating impeller, simultaneously coming into full contact with high-temperature airflow introduced from the bottom. The material remains suspended in the airflow, allowing moisture to evaporate rapidly. The dried fine powder is then carried by the airflow into a cyclone separator or bag filter for collection.
This equipment features fast drying speed, high thermal efficiency, and uniform product particle size. Since the material residence time inside the drying chamber is extremely short—typically only several seconds to tens of seconds—it is particularly suitable for processing heat-sensitive materials, effectively preventing degradation caused by prolonged exposure to heat. Additionally, the flash dryer has a compact structure, occupies minimal space, is easy to operate, and can be automated, making it one of the essential drying units in modern industrial production.
